"Doing a Dina"
I am currently looking for families of young children anywhere in the world to take part in preliminary work to explore the possibilities of working conductively over the Internet through Skype, audio and/or webcam. This can be done in German, in English or in Hungarian, as required.
This is "exploratory work" of a kind not done before in Conductive Education, so fees at this point will be very reasonable indeed.

Oh dear indeed.
This is just the sort of backing athat CE needs, solid, authoritativeand, most important political, rooted in the support of the citizens of its community. Let us hope that the North American Awareness Campaign repeats this across the Continent.
But, a worm in the bud:
'...Conductive Education recognizes the brain's ability to reorganize neural pathways based on new experiences.'
Tiny in itself, but magnifies across North America, a powerfus message. And how might this message be heard, by special educators, knowledgeable physicians, and above all by potential users?
'Getting the message across' will be a long, hard process for CE, as will coming to a common, articulalted and correct position on what this message might be.
I am sure that the coming year will find further cause aplenty for Halifax to value the CE in its midst and I do hope that the Mayor proclaims again in 2012 with even greater good news to report.
It wll be interesting to see what explanation might be favoured then.

This Oh dear illustrates so well something that I have written about here long ago. That being the need for centres to ask their conductors to be involed in producing flyers, articles, presentations and any written material to be used in advertising conductive work. I know from personal experience that this is not always the case and that there is little or nothing a conductor can do once the message has been sent out without them having been consulted.
By centres taking this step to involve conductors more in the advertising campaigns may not rid us of the spread of all confusing or incorrect information completely, like that read here in this Mayoral proclamation, but it would be a good place to start.
