Starting a new picture
‘It began with a mother's plea and had many champions.’

These were the headlines in Australia’s The Age newspaper heralding the beginning of its ‘groundbreaking disability insurance scheme’ on July 1st 2013.

''The entire population is at risk. None of us know when or how we might acquire a disability. But when it does happen … it has a huge financial impact, and no one can afford it, so the population needs to insure itself,''.
