TV and CE is an unusual combination these days but my sister spotted this snippet about Aba at NICE.

Saints and scroungers, BBC1 Series 6:1

This was first shown at 11 a.m. 22^nd September, and is only available on BBC iPlayer until 7.50 am tomorrow, Tuesday.

Do not be put off by the title - Charity Fraud Boss, Police investigators uncover a scam by a ruthless couple running a charity’. Note that the programme is called Saints and Scroungers and that the NICE snippet comes on the side of the saints.

Thanks to Sis for spotting it and recording it for me to watch next time I am home.

The new school term starts tomorrow

I returned to Germany on Saturday evening in time to unpack and then start work today after a whole month of being English, in England.

I set out to work at seven thirty this morning to find the roads chock-a-block with traffic even though school does not start until tomorrow. At one of the busiest junctions north of the city I was reminded of this fact – 

What a civilized country this is.

Something for you to listen to this weekend, I enjoyed it and I hope you do too.

Most of my colleagues are either on their way to Hungary this weekend or looking forward to a visit during the next few weeks. I still miss Hungary and many things Hungarian so I am always a little bit envious of them when I am flying off in the opposite direction, so this programme today gave me a taste of Hungary as I look forward to England later in the month.
