I have nothing but admiration -...Nice piece, Susie.<br />I have nothing but admiration - and not a little envy - for those who are proficient in languages. My mother-in-law can communicate happily in 6 languages (or could when she was a little younger).<br /><br />I once could manage quite well in French; picked up what was known as 'kitchen Swahili' whilst I was in Kenya; garnered sufficient Hungarian to get by shopping in markets; learned a smattering of German when we did the cycle ride to Budapest (ah the days when!) - but most of it is long gone through not being used.<br /><br />So do not worry too much about how tiring it can be to do so; not being able to do so is even more tiresome!
